Back to school time is looming over us and it’s time to start thinking about what you can do this next school year to make it the best and most productive one yet! The beginning of the school year is the most exciting time of the year, you find out your classes, meet new people, and have football and other sport games that you can attend. After the 1st month of school some people loose their motivation and drive but here are some tips that can help you have a great 2018-2019 school year!
- 1. Set goals for yourself!
- Setting small or large goals for yourself can help push you to finish a task faster or better! If you have a boat-load of work on your plate you can set goals that you want to get a certain one done on a certain day or time. Once you accomplish that goal it helps you feel better and you have 1 less thing on your plate.
2. Ask for help!
-If you don’t understand a concept or a question don’t be afraid to ask the teacher for help! You may feel like its a “dumb question” but nothing is ever a dumb question! If you don’t/can’t ask your teacher ask a friend or peer about it and if they know they could help you understand it better.
-Yes, everything can be stressful at times but make time for yourself where you don’t think about the pressures of school. Hang out with friends, go on a walk, or do yoga to help calm your mind and chill out. Everything will get done at some point so don’t drive yourself insane!
-Go to a football game, have a sleepover, or a bonfire! Do something fun with your friends and family, don’t lock yourself in your room 24/7 !
