Top 5 Tech Trends of 2019

So, we’re already 5 months into 2019 and we’ve got a pretty good idea of what’s been popular lately and what to expect in the near future. Here’s the top 5 trends to expect.

1. 5G

5G is the next generation of mobile internet. It’s expected to be have much faster speeds and more reliable connections. It can even download at 1GBps. It’s expected to launch in phones this spring and launch worldwide by the 2020.

2. Foldable Phones

The first phone that was supposed to release in February was the Galaxy Fold but, the screens were malfunctioning so the release date was pushed back. Another one of the foldable phones that we can expect is the Huawei Mate X.

3. Cord-Free

Mostly everything now has wireless charging but there have been some things that don’t offer wireless. This year we’re expecting everything we own to be wireless and quick charging.

4. 8K

Eventually, everything will be filmed in and use 8K but as of right now it’s okay to just stick to 4K. 8K is extremely expensive right now and definitely not worth paying $5,000 for. I’m excited to use it though when it’s much less pricey.

5. AI

AI is already very popular, but they’re might be some risks with this constant need for it. It’s coming into every household and people are relying on AI just for they’re everyday basic things like when to go to the doctor or dentist. This is a cool technology overall but I think it could hurt us in the long run.

For most of these trends, I’m very excited for them but we shouldn’t follow all trends. Especially not ones that could hurt you in the long run. Let me know what you think of these trends down in the comments.
